The 10th International Nailsea Bike Show is taking place on 21st & 22nd September at a new venue, the Ring O’Bells on St Mary’s Grove, Nailsea.
Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) is excited to announce it has the support of Ann’s Cottage as the gold sponsor of the charity’s very colourful Newquay Rainbow Run.
Rainbow Run is now in its sixth year and CHSW sees people come from all over the county take part in the 5km fun run through coloured powder paint stations and raise vital funds for the charity. The event is returning to RAF St Mawgan in Newquay on Sunday 23rd June.
A Teignmouth mum is taking part in this month’s Virgin Money London Marathon to raise money for two very special hospice charities.
Bath Half Marathon is one of the longest established and most popular half marathons in the UK. This year, Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) was delighted to be the local charity partner with a team of 240 running in support of them. One of those runners was Paula, age 51 from Oldland Common in South Gloucestershire.
Children’s Hospice South West’s (CHSW) 10th anniversary Moonlight Memory Walk was held on Saturday 30th March in Falmouth and £20,000 was pledged in sponsorship to the children’s charity by the 300 people that took part.
To celebrate the event’s special anniversary this year it was moved to a spring date and was also opened up for men to take part as well as women.
Three members of JL Corporate based in Portishead have climbed Mount Kilimanjaro and raised funds for local charity, Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW).
James Lake, Barry Richardson and Jack Walsh, set out to climb the highest mountain in Africa, a challenge which Jack said “pushed them beyond their limits”. This is the first charity partnership the company, which supplies phone and tablet accessories, have ever embarked on.

One of the longest serving members of staff at Children’s Hospice South West is retiring today (Monday) after nearly a quarter-of-a-century at the charity.
Alison Vogler, senior cook at Little Bridge House, was one of the original care team members when the doors of the hospice opened for the first time in September 1995.
Nearly 24 years later, she will be hanging up her apron after more than two decades providing families at the hospice with delicious home-cooked meals.
“I’ve got mixed emotions about retiring,” admitted Alison, from Sticklepath in Barnstaple.
Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW), providers of palliative, respite and end of life care for children and families from Bath, were delighted with the support it received at Bath Half 2019. The charity had a huge team of 240 runners, which included 49 runners from Bath-based Rotork.
Lynne Vosper from Falmouth is looking forward to taking part in Children’s Hospice South West’s (CHSW) 10th anniversary Moonlight Memory Walk which is happening in Falmouth on Saturday 30th March.
Lynne has taken part in all but one of the charity’s Moonlight Memory Walks over the last 10 years and this year she will be leading the hundreds of walkers at the special 10th anniversary event.
Every year since 2013, Edwards has sponsored and had a team participate in a 205-mile cycle from Cornwall to North Somerset. Aptly named Ride for Precious Lives, the sponsored cycle raises vital funds for Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW).
