Bodmin Jailbirds Raise over £12,000

Over £12,000 has been raised for Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) following its Jail and Bail fundraising event which was held at Bodmin Jail on Friday 18th October and donations are still rolling in.

6 local people took part in the event which involved individuals getting arrested and put on trial for fictitious crimes including possessing a loud shirt in a rural area and impersonating a fitness freak while eating cake. Once found guilty each prisoner was tasked with raising £999 to be set free. 

Staff from Barnstaple engineering firm saddle up for children’s hospice

A team of amateur cyclists from TT Electronics in Barnstaple has handed over a huge fundraising cheque to Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW).

Six members of the Roundswell-based engineering firm have been pounding the pedals this year to raise £6,301.52 for the charity’s Little Bridge House children’s hospice in Fremington.

Raise Christmas cheer in your Santa gear at RHS Garden Rosemoor

Children’s Hospice South West’s spectacular Santas on the Run will be returning to RHS Garden Rosemoor this December.

More than 350 people took part in last year’s festive 2k fun run – the first of its kind held at the gardens near Great Torrington – and this year’s event on Sunday, December 8 is expected to be even bigger.

Robert rides 100 miles in support of hospice

On August 4 2019, Robert Pattison from Dulcote in Wells was one of 10 people who took part in the Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 on behalf of local charity Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW).

The event is a 100-mile cycling event for amateur cyclists, which begins at Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, with cyclists riding through London and out to the Surrey Hills of Leith Hill and Box Hill before coming back into London and finishing on The Mall.
