In support of this new foodie fundraiser, THE PIG-near Bath, is holding a special online auction giving 18 people the opportunity to dine in its stunning Old Dining Room at its setting at Hunstrete House in Pensford. The long table is perfect for feasting, plus you will have a very private dining experience as the room will be available for your guests only. The dining experience includes a three-course dinner with wine. Bids are now being taken via CHSW’s eBay page, with bids starting at £800. The estimated value of this truly wonderful experience is in the region of £1,400. The auction will end at 8.45am on Monday 21 October.

Steff Jones, General Manager at THE PIG-near Bath, said: “The Pig Hotels are all about family and at THE PIG-near Bath we are very proud to support Children’s Hospice South West and all of the amazing work that they do for families. Cook Eat Give is a fun way to support the charity and we are delighted to be able to do our bit to help… family feast style!”

For more than 25 years, Children's Hospice South West has been caring for children with life-limiting conditions and their families from across the South West. The charity is dedicated to making the most of short and precious lives at each of its three hospices – Little Bridge House in North Devon, Charlton Farm in North Somerset and Little Harbour in Cornwall.

Karen Mathie, Corporate Fundraiser at CHSW said: “We often hear the families we support talk about how they cherish the chance to sit down and eat together – something they find difficult at home due to the complex medical needs of their child. Food plays a significant part in our hospices, with our large dining table being the ‘hub of the home’. We are very grateful to THE PIG-near Bath for donating such a wonderful experience which will raise vital funds for CHSW.”
