Bideford teenager’s 24-hour paper folding mission in memory of Imogen

A Bideford teenager will be racing against the clock next week to complete an emotional origami challenge in memory of a four-year-old girl from the town.

Aria Mitchell, 16, will be attempting to fold 1,000 paper cranes in just 24-hours to raise money for Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW), after hearing about how the charity supported Imogen Smale and her family.

New Cornish clothing brand MegaWhet hopes to raise £20,000 for Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) with the launch of their branded t-shirts.

Malcolm Harris, the brainchild of the MegaWhet brand, explains how his new venture will support CHSW;

We are encouraging people to buy our t-shirts, post a photo on social media of them wearing the t-shirt at their favourite landmark, location, party or event, tag #MegaWhet and we will then donate £5 to the children’s hospice.

Football rivals angle for fishing win

Pupils at Bishop Fox's secondary school in Taunton have been busy gathering chocolate eggs to give to poorly children this Easter.

People are being asked to lace up their walking boots and take on an Incredible Hike for Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) this spring.

The charity has lined up a raft of inspiring walking routes across Devon, Cornwall and Somerset for supporters to choose from – or they can simply pick one of their own. 

CHSW area fundraiser Kate Romo said: “Whether it’s a scenic stroll or an epic coast path ramble, grab your walking shoes, hike as you like and show your support for local children and families.
