Sam usually visits Little Bridge House with his mum, Jo, and dad, Jon.
The family have been shielding at home since lockdown began.

While Sam and his parents are missing their visits to the hospice, mum, Jo, describes how the friendship they have formed with another family from Little Bridge House has been invaluable during this difficult time.

"We have found it very difficult to be honest; being stuck at home 24/7 with no break, help or respite is exhausting. Emotions have been all over the place and it is only with the support of our close friends and family that we are getting through this. Funnily enough, particularly the support of a family we met at the hospice."

Despite Emma’s daughter, Imogen, passing away a number of years ago, we have remained good friends and meet regularly. We met at Little Bridge House when Imogen was just a baby. We just connected and didn’t realise at the time that we both lived in the same town. We have been firm friends ever since, supporting each other through good and bad times.

Her younger daughter Evie absolutely loves Sam and recorded a video for him last week, which is just amazing. Sam loves listening to the story as you can see from the photo.

Emma and I continue to speak and message regularly. As I’m sure you will appreciate, having met at the hospice, we have a lot of common ground and can really connect and understand each other. I value her friendship immensely and it is people like her who have really helped during these difficult times.”
