Young fundraisers spread Christmas cheer
A group of budding young entrepreneurs from Bridgwater have been busy making and selling reindeer food and have raised over £200 for Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW).
Brother and sister Jude age 7 and Tabby aged 5, along with family friend Emillie, made 125 bags of Magic Reindeer Food and sold it for £1 a bag.
Jude and Tabby’s brother, Logan, has a range of complex needs and he and his family are supported by CHSW’s Charlton Farm hospice in North Somerset.
Mum Liz said: “The children have £208.60 but there may be more to come! They've had so much fun doing it.”
Liz has previously described Charlton Farm as being like a second home.
“We’ve become part of something special, a family we would never choose, but now would never be without,” added Liz.
Charlton Farm cares for children and young people aged 0-21 from the point of diagnosis who have a life-limiting or life-threatening condition and are not expected to survive into adulthood as well as providing support to their families.
