Open Gardens are here for 2025!

A number of gardens will be opening across the South West in support of Children's Hospice South West, there’s plenty to see and do in this year.

Our open gardens include a diverse range of beautiful gardens; some not normally open to the public and many offering refreshments, cream teas, plant sales and even children's activities. Thank you to every garden, volunteer and supporter who has generously allowed for these special open garden days to take place.

Being outside is a great sensory experience and many of the children at our hospices grin from ear to ear when they are taken outside. The gardens and open spaces at each of of our hospices are very special and unique, with stimulating sensory gardens that are visually vivid with sounds, smells and varying textures. There are also specially adapted areas for play that enable all children to have fun and explore the outdoors. Our gardens are a much loved feature with all our families, with staff always on hand to offer any support they need.

Could you spare some time to volunteer in our Hospice Gardens?

Children's Hospice South West sensory gardens

Our gardens are places full of fun, laughter, sounds and sensations, a place to relax and unwind and are enjoyed by the whole family. We have an amazing team of staff and volunteers who help to maintain our gardens, without them, they would not be the beautiful places they are. If you would like to volunteer some time or have anything you would like to donate to the gardens, flowers, plants, play/sensory equipment, please contact your local hospice to see how you could help make a difference to short and precious lives.
