Quality of care
As a provider of healthcare we are regulated by the Care Quality Commission. We constantly look at ways to improve the quality of care that we deliver, and our family experiences, through our user feedback.
We create an Annual Quality Report for the Department of Health, which is published here on our website. You can find out what we have been doing for children and their families across the South West, the difference our teams make and how we plan to develop our services in the future.
Statement of Purpose
Principle aims and objectives
Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) exists to make the most of short and precious lives. Since 1995 we have provided free of charge expert holistic and family centred care for children with life-limiting conditions and their families across the South West of England.
This is delivered through three hospices which are centres of excellence and through outreach in the community. Through our region-wide network of staff and supporters we raise awareness of the children and families whose needs we serve.
Local Offer
Our Local Offer document provides information about the help and support that is available in the South West for children and young people with educational needs or disability which every Local Authority in England must provide. It is a 'shop window' of services for everyone to access. All service providers are now obliged to work with their existing users to supply a clear and transparent description of their service.
Children's Hospice South West is extremely grateful to the fifteen familes who helped us put together our Local Offer document.
