Annual Quality Account
The Care Quality Commission (CQC) are the watchdog of hospices and set essential standards of quality and safety for hospices across the UK. Each year Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) reports to the CQC.
It is a legal requirement for all healthcare services that receive NHS funding to produce statutory accounts. The Annual Quality Account focuses on the quality of the care and support we provide, looking back over the previous year and looking at the key priorities for the next year. The Annual Quality Account for CHSW is compiled from data for the period 1 April to 31 March.
This Account has been produced by the Deputy Director of Cares with the support of the Board of Trustees and the Chief Executive. It also draws information that has been gathered in the production of other annual reports for CHSW such as the Annual Safeguarding Report, Annual Medicine Management Report, Annual Report and Financial Statement.
