Charity Donation Cooked up by Barbican Kitchen
Barbican Kitchen, situated above Plymouth Gin Distillery on the Barbican in Plymouth, has recently donated £336.58 to Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) following its two month Dine and Donate campaign.
During January and February customers were encouraged to donate with the Barbican Kitchen’s annual “Dine and Donate” set menu.
Nathan Davies, General Manager at Barbican Kitchen speaks highly about supporting CHSW.
We feel that this is such a worthy cause that is giving care, comfort & support to children with life limiting conditions and their families. This is a charity we will continue to support and encourage others to also.
Sarah Nuttall-Worsley, Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser for CHSW visited the restaurant to collect the donation.
Sarah said “On behalf of all the children and families that we provide short breaks, respite, end of life care and bereavement support to I would like to thank everyone who visited Barbican Kitchen and donated through the Dine and Donate menu. Also, I would like to thank all of the staff for supporting us with their hard work. Donations like this are vital to us to ensure that we can continue supporting children and their families from across the region especially from right here in Plymouth.”
Becky Hele from Plymouth speaks passionately about CHSW and its Little Harbour hospice in St Austell after her baby Jack sadly died at Little Harbour. Becky said
They give you all the guidance you need that’s practical but all the guidance that you need that’s emotional. Little Harbour is not like a hospital its like a home and the carers are doing their job seamlessly and that is what your money is helping.
