Your time in our shop?
Every day we welcome pre-loved donations; and along with some new goods, prepare these to be sold in the shop. There is always something to put your hand towards from selling items to steaming clothes. It could also be thanking someone for their donation or being the listening ear to someone’s personal experience of being supported by our Care Team.
Typical tasks include:
- Work on the till, including processing sales, returns, and handling money
- Replenishing stock on the shop floor
- Preparing stock, including sorting, steaming and pricing
- Identifying unsaleable items for recycling
- Creating imaginative window displays
- Asking people to become a Gift Aider
- Being an ambassador for the work of CHSW and the impact we make.
Skills:
- Good customer service skills, friendly and helpful
- Enjoy being part of a team of staff and volunteers
- Thanking and showing appreciation to every person who gives us a donation and makes a purchase.
