Join a Friends Group
Across the South West we have teams of dedicated supporters, who work tirelessly to raise awareness and funds on behalf of us. Our Friends Groups form a vital part of the hospice and are known to go above and beyond to enable us to provide support for the families we care for.
What is a Friends Group?
A Friends Group is a group of people who want to support Children's Hospice South West and who get together on a regular basis to have fun while raising funds for our hospices.
Friends Groups arrange local fundraising events, organise public collections, maintain collection boxes, circulate posters and flyers and give presentations and talks on behalf of the charity.
How can you get involved?
We have over 70 amazing Friends Groups across the region, actively fundraising and increasing awareness of Children’s Hospice South West. It is through the dedication of our supporters that we can continue to care for our families and raise awareness of the work we do.
Every member plays a huge part in supporting the charity and is proud to be part of the team.
If you would like to set up or join a Friends Group and get involved in fundraising for us, please contact your local community fundraiser for more information.
We look forward to welcoming you to the team!
Our fantastic Friends Groups
Our Friends Groups have all been working extremely hard in the community, holding bucket collections, coffee mornings and attending events and talks on our behalf. Last year marked a very special anniversary for one of our groups, Belstone, who celebrated 10 years together. During that time they raised an amazing £150,000! Also from the Okehampton area, Alan Wright and Dennis Edwards cycled and walked from Lands End to John O’Groats raising over £5,000 between them. What an amazing achievement!
