Chris Wood donates his signed European Ryder Cup Team Golf Bag to CHSW
European Tour player Chris Wood’s Ryder Cup golf bag used in the 2016 Ryder Cup in Hazeltine is to be auctioned for charity. The bag has been signed by the entire European Ryder Cup Team, including Rory McIlroy and Sergio Garcia.
One of the premier men's golf tournaments in the world, the Ryder Cup occurs once every two years. With the competition based on a friendly rivalry between the best American and European players of the game, the venue of this golf tournament alternates between the two continents. Different locations bid on the honour to host the Ryder Cup, meaning that each match occurs on a different course to make the play more challenging and exciting.
Chris will be donating 100% of the funds to Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW). Chris has always been a supporter of CHSW and is excited to auction off the golf bag in the hope it will raise a significant amount of money to help the charity provide respite and end-of-life care for families with children who have life limiting conditions. Having become a father this year the charity has become even more important to him and his wife Bethany.
Chris Wood's golf bag, signed by the entire European Ryder Cup Team (Rafa Cabrera Bello, Matt Fitzpatrick, Sergio Garcia, Martin Kaymer, Rory McIlroy , Thomas Pieters, Justin Rose, Henrik Stenson, Andy Sullivan, Lee Westwood, Danny Willett and Chris Wood) is being auctioned in the Children's Hospice South West eBay shop. This is a 10 day auction and bidding ends on Friday 2 June 2017 at 10:08am.
