Corporate volunteers

We welcome the support of local businesses wanting to volunteer for us and there are so many ways to get involved!  With so many companies offering their teams the chance to give up some time for a good cause, we have a range of different ways in which you can help. Although these opportunities are limited, we’d love to hear from you!

  • Develop a sense of achievement  through doing something worthwhile for your local community

  • Staff can learn new skills and build confidence

Ways to get involved with corporate volunteering

Rainbow Run Volunteers

At our events

Help us with set up on the day before a CHSW event, or on the day itself. This could involve working on the registration desk, marshalling, or helping us pack down afterwards!

In the office

We are often in need of volunteers to assist with research, database inputting, preparing mailings or helping to organise events.

Ray our volunteer gardener

In our gardens

Help with the maintenance of our beautiful hospice grounds and gardens. This could involve clearing paths and public areas. Please note, we can’t always accommodate large groups at our hospices and these opportunities are limited to certain dates of the year.

In our shops

As well as being able to help our customers find good quality bargains in the shop, our volunteers also help to raise much needed funds to provide expert care in our three hospices.

Help our dedicated Facilities team in maintenance of our three hospices. You could help by cleaning the ball pit in our soft play or by helping to sort our toy rooms.

Corporate volunteer stars of 2023

Team Aviva 10

In 2023, Connells, Reassured, FL Protection and Alps protection and sales teams at Aviva came together for the day to join in on the ‘Aviva Charity 10K walk’. A total of 27 employees were involved in this years charity volunteer day, which has raised a total of £1,791.00.

CHSW rely on voluntary donations to continue to care for local children with life-limiting conditions and their families. As well as providing emergency and end of life care, they also provide precious hospice stays for the whole family and a sibling service for brothers and sisters, which is important for so many families.
