The Great Charity Pot and Print Fair
The Great Charity Pot and Print Fair is a national online fundraising event which has been created to raise much needed funds for many different local charities.
It's a chance for talented UK ceramicists and printmakers to come together to sell their work to raise money for their chosen charity. The 1st event in January 2021 saw 100 potters joining together to raise £17,800 for 60 different charities.
The Great Charity Pot and Print Fair 2022 will take place online on 5th – 6th March 2022.
It includes over 150 wonderful generous potter and Printmakers from across the UK raising funds for over 100 charities. Bringing the creative community together to help our local communities.
Each potter and printmaker has chosen a charity to support and will select a piece or pieces they would like to sell and or offer as part of a prize draw.
The event will be hosted online here
There are three participants who have chosen Children’s Hospice South West as their charity;
I am Amy of Amy Cooper Ceramics. My husband Gareth and I make delicate translucent porcelain lighting and are offering a Monarch Butterfly lamp as the prize in our prize draw. This piece was inspired by the unbelievable resilience of these little creatures. Every donation to our JustGiving page counts as an entry into the draw.
We have chosen to support this charity because as a family we have directly benefited from the amazing support that The Children’s Hospice South West is able to offer to families like ours. Our daughter Rosa has a life limiting condition and we know how valuable this charity is all the way through this journey. We have spent precious time at Little Bridge House and at Little Harbour over the years and the support has been invaluable and has really made a difference to our lives. We can’t thank them enough.
The talented printmaker Emma Nicholls of Ida’s Inkling will also be taking part and and offering some beautiful work to raise much needed funds for The Children’s Hospice South West.
She said ‘I wanted to support CHSW because they are local to me, because so many families are struggling with everyday life, rising costs of living, and I can’t imagine have the extra worry of a serious illness, and because children are so beautifully innocent, they deserve only joy and happiness, and I want to help CHSW provide this and support their families.’
