Happy Days raise over £1,000 and join Business Club
Last week children at Happy Days Nursery & Pre-School, Summercourt, were delighted to hand over a cheque for £1,300 to Alice Merrett, Area Fundraiser at Children’s Hospice South West, and collect their certificate for becoming a member of their Business Club 2022.
Happy Days have been supporting this worthy cause for a number of years and last year both companies celebrated their 30th Birthday. In September 2021, all 18 Happy Days Nurseries held a special Birthday Celebration for parents whilst raising funds for Children’s Hospice South West. It is with thanks to all our families who donated to this exceptional charity, raising such a significant amount of money which will be utilised by the charity to provide hospice care for children with life-limiting conditions and their whole family.
This year, Happy Days will be continuing to support Children’s Hospice South West and has joined their new Business Club 2022. As a member of this club, Happy Days will be able to build connections whilst helping make a difference to children living with life-limiting conditions and their families across the South West.
Fiona Blackwell, Operations Director for Happy Days Nurseries, said,
With 18 nurseries across the South West we are dedicated to supporting families in this area by raising funds for this excellent charity.
We had a wonderful time celebrating our 30th Birthday last year and were astounded by the amount raised, thanks to our generous parents. We are proud to be part of Children’s Hospice South West Business Club and will continue to hold events throughout the year to raise further funds for them.’
Alice Merrett, Area Fundraiser for Children’s Hospice South West, stated “We are so grateful to all of the Happy Days nurseries and families for getting involved with fundraising for Children’s Hospice South West.
It was fantastic to share our special birthday year with a family-focused local business last year and we look forward to working together throughout 2022.
