Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) is partnering with Bristol-based National Friendly Financial Solutions (NFFS) and holding an exclusive business event at St George’s Bristol on Wednesday November 24, from 3pm-5pm.

CHSW is looking for 300 businesses from across the south west to join the Business Club in 2022

CHSW was established 30 years ago and in recognition of this milestone set up a Business Club for companies from across the South West. 100 businesses each contributed £300 for their membership and in return were provided opportunities to build connections, raise awareness of their company and, crucially, help to make a difference to local children with life-limiting illnesses and their families.

Due to the unprecedented response from companies wanting to join, CHSW has increased membership for 2022 and is looking for 300 businesses from across the south west to come on board.

Amanda Gallagher, Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser for CHSW, said: “Current members of the Business Club will be at the event at St George’s and we’d like to invite any other companies from Bristol, BANES or South Gloucestershire to come along and discover how we can work together.”

NFFS has a proud history of supporting the Bristol and South West community and was delighted to become one of the founding members of the CHSW Business Club.

Kurtis Reece, National Friendly’s PR & Strategic Partnerships Executive, said: “We are proud to be given the opportunity to become the sole sponsor of the first in-person event for business club members. Since the Business Club launched in January 2021 we have been working with CHSW to raise awareness of the initiative by informing other businesses of the benefits of joining. We have all been affected by the global pandemic and now many of us seek innovation, solutions and a safe way forward, post-Covid. Now is the time for solidarity and support which is an additional benefit of being part of the Business Club.”

This will be CHSW’s first in-person networking event for 18 months.

Amanda said: “St George’s Bristol is in a wonderfully central location and will provide an exceptional backdrop for what will be a beneficial afternoon of discussion and face-to-face interaction.”

Located just off Park Street, beside Brandon Hill, St George’s Bristol has undergone a refurbishment in which its gardens and contemporary extension combine classic elegance with modern architecture.

Samir Savant, Chief Executive of St George’s Bristol said: “We look forward to welcoming members of CHSW’s Business Club to our venue, to network and enjoy the new award-winning spaces of our beautiful extension, and to learn more about our vibrant programme of cultural events and our work in our communities.  As we emerge from the pandemic, we are delighted to host this gathering, one of the first private events in our new café/bar.”
