Bristol City ground to host charity football match
To mark the 30th anniversary of Children’s Hospice South West, Nexus Recruitment Group, official sponsors of Bristol City Football Club, and live events company, TourLife, are hosting a charity football match at Ashton Gate on Friday 21st May.
The teams playing are TourLife versus Nexus – both of whom will consist of a mixture of celebrities from the world of sport and entertainment.
These include Bristol City FC past players: Scotty Murray, Cole Skuse, Kevin Amankwaah, Rob Edwards, Joe Burnell, Danny Coles, Tony Thorpe, and Louis Carey. Ex-rugby players are also getting involved, including: Victor Ubogu, Peter Rogers, Craig Charmers and Delon Armitage.
Other familiar names in the line-up are: Jeremiah Asiamah from BBC Radio 1Xtra, Austin Dabho of Atlantic Records, DJ Guvna B, Capital Radio Presenter Rob Bruce, former cricketer turned Robins TV host, Peter Trego, and celebrity chef Dean Edwards.
Patch Warner, host of 3 Peaps in a Podcast, will be playing along with his one of his co-hosts, Rich Brown. He said: “It’s a bit of a dream come true for us, actually playing on the Ashton Gate surface. We hope to raise money for this great cause in their anniversary year.”

Everyone has been missing getting together in-person and enjoying being entertained and this match is sure to entertain!”
Kick off is at 5pm and the doors open at 4pm. There will be access to the bar after the match where an auction will take place raising money for CHSW.
