Support from the Weston community for the Children's Hospice
Weston super Mare Friends’ Group, who raise awareness and funds for Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW), organised a concert with music performed by The Lions Brass 4 Youth and The Weston Ukulele Players on Friday 4 October at the Victoria Methodist Church. The brass band is made up of young children - some as young as 12 – and one of the highlights of the evening were the young players who played solo pieces. Weston Ukulele Players has chosen CHSW as their charity of the year.
If you’re interested in booking them to perform, with donations going to CHSW, call Andrew Oliver on 07795 690398.
The evening of music was a huge success and £399.95 was raised for CHSW’s local hospice, Charlton Farm in North Somerset. The Friends’ Group would like to thank all involved with the church and the those who volunteered to organise the refreshments. Thanks too go to the general public for their support.
