Venson makes £1000 donation to CHSW
Venson Automotive Solutions has raised £1,000 for the Children’s Hospice South West, which provides hospice care for children and families who live in the South West. Venson staff raised the funds at the Christmas raffle, with prizes donated by Venson suppliers.
Children’s Hospice South West provides specialist palliative care, respite for the whole family, a sibling service, as well as emergency support, end of life care and a bereavement service. Operating three hospices in Devon, Somerset and Cornwall, the charity is dedicated to making the most of short and precious lives through providing the best possible hospice care and enriching experiences for children and young people with life-limiting conditions.
In 2018, Venson selected Children’s Hospice South West as its charity of the year, on the recommendation of its long-term client, Ocean Housing.
Bernadette Chambers, Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser for CHSW said “On behalf of all of the children and families that we support I would like to thank Venson for their very generous donation.
We try to create a home from home for children and their families going through unimaginable circumstances and it’s only due to the generosity of donations such as Venson’s and partnerships with businesses like Ocean that this is possible.
CEO of Ocean Housing, Mark Gardner, comments, “We have a close working relationship with Venson and were delighted when they confirmed they were supporting Children’s Hospice South West, a charity close to our hearts. The Venson team rallied together for the staff Christmas raffle, as part of their ongoing commitment to supporting key community programmes. Nobody can imagine what it is like to have a child with a life-limiting condition, but we all know that we would welcome the care and support delivered by organisations like Children’s Hospice South West. It is an honour to present this cheque alongside Venson at Little Harbour Hospice.”
Samantha Roff, Managing Director comments, “It’s so important that we can take time and energy to support worthwhile projects and community-based organisations, such as Children’s Hospice South West. We’d like to thank the enthusiasm of our staff, who really got behind the Christmas raffle to help us raise this money. And a big thank you to our suppliers, who donated many of the raffle prizes.
“Children’s Hospice South West is something you hope you’ll never need, but it’s a vital safety net that we’re proud to support.”
