Brave Kirsty takes on skydive for CHSW
Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) is looking for brave individuals to join them for a thrilling skydive experience on Saturday 23rd March at Dunkswell Airfield in Honiton.
Amanda Gallagher, Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser at CHSW said, “Sign up for this once in a lifetime adventure and give yourself some unforgettable memories while raising vital funds for CHSW at the same time. If you are up for the challenge but can’t make the date then we have other dates through the year, please get in touch and share this with any adrenaline seekers!”
One such thrill-seeker is Kirtsy Bale, co-owner of Bristol-based company, The IT Storeroom. Kirsty has chosen to raise funds for CHSW for a very special reason. She says, “This charity holds a very special place in my heart and my passion to help them comes from a very personal place. Many years ago, I was preparing to become a mother for the first time. Unfortunately, my son Kyle was diagnosed with Cystic Hygroma and lost his fight for life before we had chance to meet one another.
“If Kyle would have made it through the pregnancy, his diagnosis was one that would have been life-limiting, and CHSW would have been a place that we would had been assigned for the duration of his life."
“I have decided to take on a huge challenge to help support this charity which means a great deal to me. I am terrified of heights, and flying, yet I will be falling through the sky at 15,000 feet in a tandem skydive to show my commitment to them and help raise vital funds for the children and their families that attend the hospice.”
