Businesses Backing Plymouth Bubble Rush
The Fundraising Team from Children’s Hospice South West are delighted to receive support from two businesses for one of the charity’s upcoming Bubble Rush events which will be returning to Newnham Park in Plympton on Sunday 23rd September.
Services Design Solution (SDS), based in The Millfields, and Viridor based in Plympton, will each be sponsoring one of the bubble stations around the route and will have a presence on the day along with main event sponsor GA Solicitors.
Having sponsorship from these businesses means that even more money raised by people taking part in the Bubble Rush can go towards the care and support offered by the charity to local children and families rather than covering event costs.
Over 900 people have already signed up to take part in the Bubble Rush which is a sponsored fun run with a difference. It involves participants of all ages running through coloured bubble stations around a 5km route and getting covered in different coloured foam. It is a great event to take part in with friends, family or colleagues.
Sarah Joy, Head of Sales at Viridor is looking forward to the bubbles; “Viridor are very much looking forward to the Bubble Rush event and are excited to be supporting such a worthwhile charity in the South West. A great day for a great cause. Bring on the bubbles and come on the greens.”
Shaun Hoppins, Managing Director for SDS said “We have raised money in the past at our annual construction pub quiz and we were lucky enough to work on Little Harbour in St Austell, working closely with the charity to deliver a home-from-home. I was delighted to see the building complete and want to ensure that CHSW carry on with facilities like these that can provide families with the support they need in the future.”
CHSW’s Corporate Fundraiser Sarah Nuttall-Worsley visited both businesses offices to celebrate the launch of their sponsorship.
Last year CHSW saw 1200 people take part in the Bubble Rush in Plymouth which raised £40,000 in sponsorship for the charity. CHSW offers short stays, respite, palliative care, end of life care and bereavement support to children with life limiting illnesses and their families. CHSW runs three children’s hospices in the south west including Little Harbour in St Austell which supports over 30 families from Plymouth alone.
