Another successful Rainbow Run in Exeter
Westpoint Arena was showered with all the colours of the rainbow as over 1200 runners took part in Children’s Hospice South West’s annual fundraising Rainbow Run.
The run is the flagship fundraising event for the charity, and this year is set to raise an astonishing £50,000 for CHSW’s Little Bridge House children’s hospice near Barnstaple.
This year’s runners were treated to music from Radio Exe, face-painters, bouncy castles, Taiko drummers and a whole lot of coloured powder paint!
Kindly supported by Thomson Reuters, RGB Building Supplies and Devon Waste, the event was a great day out.
Jayne Jarrett, CHSW Event Fundraiser said: ‘What a fantastic day! Rainbow Run is such a fun event and we’d like to thank everyone helped make it such a great day including our amazing team of volunteers. The fundraising support we have for our run is tremendous and it really does make a difference to the care and support we provide.’
This is the second year the event has taken place at Westpoint and the run continues to go from strength to strength. Sponsorship raised from Rainbow Run helps support families going through unimaginable circumstances, and helps to provide respite breaks, palliative care, emergency stays, end-of-life care and bereavement support for life-limited children and their families across Devon.
If you missed out on the fun this year, why not join in our Bubble Rush events in September?
