Rick Stein's Swap Seafood for Cider Run
A team of 5 from Rick Stein’s St Petroc’s Bistro in Padstow recently took part in the Cornish Cider Run and have raised £727.50 for Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) through doing so.
The Rick Stein’s team have been supporting CHSW with various fundraising events and the Boconnoc Cornish Cider Run was the chosen fundraising event that Samantha Bolwell, Susie Esor, Larissa Porter, Jamie Porter & Ash Gains wanted to take part in to do their bit for the charity.
The team took part in the 10k course of mud, water and over 30 obstacles on 16 September and completed the challenge together.
Samantha Bolwell, member of the Rick Stein’s team said;
The run was very challenging with all the mud and water weighing us down, but we had good team spirit and the drive that we were running for such a great charity.

On behalf of all of the children and families that we support at our Little Harbour children’s hospice I would like to thank the Rick Stein’s team for their fantastic effort both in the Cornish Cider Run and also with their fundraising. Donations like this are vital for us to be able to continue offering care and support to local children and families.
Little Harbour is one of CHSW’s three children’s hospices in the region and it offers short breaks, respite and palliative care to children with life limiting or life threatening illnesses. The hospice supports the whole family including parents and siblings who can all stay for short visits and enjoy the home from home surroundings at the hospice as well as the chance to relax and recharge their batteries whilst making precious memories.
If you or your business are interested in supporting the charity through fundraising simply visit our Corporate Partnerships page or call Little Harbour on 01726 871800 to speak to a member of the Fundraising Team.
