A nine-year-old girl from Puriton, just outside Bridgwater, has wowed her community with an incredible act of kindness that will benefit 2 charities.

Tabby recently decided to part with her luscious locks in a spontaneous 'chop' donating her hair to the Little Princess Trust, a charity that provides real hair wigs to children suffering hair loss.

Tabby also raised an impressive £750 in sponsorship for Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW). Tabby’s effort was inspired by her own experiences with the charity, as her 14-year-old brother, Logan, who has Cerebral Palsy, frequently visits Charlton Farm Hospice in Wraxall, receiving invaluable support.

Tabby's mum, who has seen first-hand the impact the hospice has had on their family, is incredibly proud of her daughter’s generosity.

Lucie Perryman, Area Fundraiser for CHSW said:

Tabby is such an inspirational young fundraiser. To come up with such a generous idea while also raising such an incredible amount of money is truly brilliant.

Tabby’s selfless act is a shining example of how small acts of kindness can make a huge impact. Inspired by her, if you or your children would like to take on a fundraising challenge in 2025 to support Children’s Hospice South West, check out the range of fundraising ideas by clicking here or get in touch with our team at Charlton Farm, who will be happy to guide you on your own fundraising journey.
