Warren Lodge garden supporting CHSW
Warren Lodge Garden in Mary Tavy near Tavistock will be welcoming people through it’s gates this summer in support of Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW).
The garden will be open on Sunday 6 June, Sunday 4 July and Sunday 1 August. Bookings are being taken for each day with arrival slots available at 12pm, 1.30pm and 3pm.
Warren Lodge is a rugged, gentle sloping moorland garden of around three acres with magnificent views across Dartmoor. It was once an overgrown two acre field which then evolved to a small orchard for the Queen’s Golden Jubilee with specimen trees and a copse of native trees. It also has a more formal garden as well as an extensive vegetable plot and cutting garden.
Cream Teas will be available to purchase on the day; admission will be £5 for adults and under 14’s will be able to enter for free. Dogs are welcome on leads. Proceeds from entry tickets will go to CHSW which runs three children’s hospices in the region including Little Harbour in St Austell.
Little Harbour is currently supporting over 140 children, with complex medical conditions, and their families. It provides resilience stays, emergency stays as well as virtual support, home visits, end of life care and bereavement support.
