SPAR stores donate over £5500 to CHSW
SPAR stores across Devon and Cornwall have raised £5544.07 for Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) through their in-store collection tins over the past year.
Collection tins were put on the cash desk in SPAR stores across Devon and Cornwall and customers have given their spare change generously to the local children’s charity which has three children’s hospices across the region.
Cara Whitting, Finance Assistant for the Gillett’s SPAR stores said: “This is a great amount and we thank all our stores and customers for their continued support of this charity.
Since 2011, we have raised £160,000 for Children’s Hospice South West.
Sarah Nuttall-Worsley, Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser for CHSW collected the donation on behalf of the charity and wanted to thank everyone involved. “I am absolutely delighted to collect this donation on behalf of all of the children and families that we support at our children’s hospices. Your customers really have done you proud and we are so grateful for your continued support. It does make a real difference.”
CHSW’s three hospices are Little Bridge House in Barnstaple, Charlton Farm near Bristol and Little Harbour in St Austell. Little Harbour offers short breaks and respite to children from across Plymouth and Cornwall living with life limiting conditions. The children can visit Little Harbour for short breaks with their whole family and are given expert medical care along with the chance to relax and make special memories together.
If your business would be in the position to support CHSW with any type of fundraising or collections please make contact with your local Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser.
