Outstanding support for CHSW from local business
Employees at Filtration Ltd, based in Bristol, have supported Children's Hospice South West (CHSW) since 2017. In that time they’ve raised over £8,000 to help towards the vital care of children with life-limiting conditions.
The team’s most recent fundraising effort was a static cycle challenge on 20 October. Supporters at Filtration Ltd cycled the distance between their warehouse in Avonmouth and the Donaldson HQ in Belgium on static bikes. Between them, they covered 370 miles on two static bikes, over 24 hours. They raised a total of £2,000 for CHSW and the Oncology Department at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells Hospital.
Sarah Morgan, Marketing and Sustainability Manager for Filtration said: “We are so proud to support CHSW and grateful to our customers, suppliers, family and friends for donating to our fundraising page. It was a brilliant group effort on the day with some of the team cycling late into the night to make sure we completed the challenge. Thank you to Donaldson for supporting the event and well done to all who took part.”
Some of the team also took part in ‘Ride for Precious Lives’ in 2021. This event is a 205-mile sponsored cycle visiting the three children’s hospices across Bristol, Devon and Cornwall. They’re looking forward to taking part again in 2023: you can find out more about this challenge and see how to get involved by clicking here.
