Maureen's masterpieces raising vital funds
A Perranporth painter’s love of creating works of art is helping to raise vital funds for Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW).
Maureen Crofts paints every day and specialises in wildlife pieces created using both graphite and watercolour pencils.
Maureen and her husband Derek have helped raise awareness and funds for CHSW for many years, following their grandson Toby being diagnosed with a life-limiting brain disease. Toby and his family receive care and support at the charity’s Little Harbour children’s hospice in St Austell.
Maureen will continue to donate the proceeds from the sale of her art to CHSW as well as donate artworks to the charity for various fundraising events they will hold throughout the year. She also accepts commissions.
I am keen to use my love of painting to raise as much as I can for Children’s Hospice South West because the charity offers my family such incredible support
Maureen says.
“I really enjoy painting animals and wildlife although my online shop also includes seascapes, landscapes and much more.”
All of Maureen’s paintings can be viewed and purchased via her website here and all proceeds, minus postage costs, will be donated to CHSW.
Amanda Masters, Area Fundraiser for CHSW said; “To see Maureen’s passion for painting and raising funds for the hospice come together is just fantastic. We really do appreciate everything she is doing for CHSW and are glad we are able to support her family.”
Little Harbour children’s hospice is currently supporting more than 140 children like Maureen’s grandson Toby who are unexpected to live into adulthood, through stays at the hospice, home visits and virtual contact.
