Local business supports Moonlight Memory Walk

28 October 2024 CHSW

Bodmin based company, CHX Products has pledged its support for local children’s charity Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) by sponsoring its upcoming Moonlight Memory Walk.

With over 25 years experience, Andy, Tania and the team at CHX Products manufacture and supply high quality Planet Positive products and merchandise that are fully sustainable, including branded badges, trolley coins, stationary and food and drink accessories.

CHX Products has chosen to support CHSW through sponsoring its upcoming Moonlight Memory Walk which is taking place at The Lost Gardens of Heligan on Saturday 9 November.

The event is a 4km sponsored evening walk where participants can walk in memory and celebration of their loved ones. The event is now in its 14th year, and last year raised £40,000 for the charity. It’s popular with those wishing to do something tangible to remember their loved ones while also supporting a special local cause.

Andy chose to support CHSW after he heard about the support CHSW gives to local families. Both Andy and Tania were truly moved by hearing first-hand the difference CHSW’s Little Harbour hospice in St Austell made to Mike Brown and his family in 2019 when they were supported by the hospice for resilience and end of life care for his son Oliver.

The event has received further support from local businesses; accountancy firm Francis Clarke PKF and law firm Stephens and Scown, who are supporting as sponsors of 2 memory stations situated around the route of the walk.

Kiley Pearce, Event Fundraiser at CHSW and organiser of the Moonlight Memory Walk said;

 We are so incredibly grateful to have such generous support from local businesses. In simple terms their sponsorship means that even more of the money raised by those taking part in the event by collecting sponsorship from friends and family, can go straight towards the care we offer our families rather than on event costs.
