Lavethan Manor Garden opens in support of CHSW
A Cornish garden is opening in aid of Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW).
Lavethan Manor Garden at Blisland, will be open for visitors to enjoy from 2pm - 5pm on 11 August for just £6 entry.
There will be light musical entertainment at 3pm (weather permitting) and refreshments will also be available to purchase.
Lavethan Manor is a fascinating ancient Cornish Manor House overlooking a quiet wooded valley and the gardens include an enclosed courtyard and mixed planting borders. There is also a recently discovered Victorian dell garden with springs, grotto, ancient well, Celtic crosses and fine trees. There are wilder walks to enjoy which take visitors through a field to a leat and tributary of the River Camel.
Visitors are recommended to wear sturdy footwear in order to enjoy all the gardens have to offer and dogs on leads are welcome to accompany anyone visiting the gardens. Alice, Area Fundraiser for CHSW, said: "I’d like to say a big thank you to Simon and Krysia for opening their beautiful gardens in support of Children’s Hospice South West."
This open garden will be a lovely afternoon out and a great way for visitors to show their support of their local children’s hospice.
CHSW’s Little Harbour is situated in St Austell and is a relaxing place for families who visit with children and young people with life limiting and life threatening illnesses. When families visit the hospice for respite, resilience stays or end of life care they are greeted with both expert care and support in homely surroundings with beautiful gardens for the whole family to enjoy.
