CHSW joins national campaign to change perceptions of hospice care

14 February 2025 chsw

Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) is proud to join 143 hospices taking part in the ‘This is Hospice Care’ campaign, a national initiative facilitated by Hospice UK.

The campaign aims to raise awareness of the vital role hospices play in communities and to shift public perceptions of hospice care.

The campaign has already captured hearts and minds through a powerful TV advert based on real life hospice stories. The goal is to encourage people to consider leaving a gift in their Will to support their local hospice, ensuring that these essential services can continue to provide their compassionate and specialist care for future generations.

Paul Courtney, Director of Fundraising at CHSW said; “We’re thrilled to be part of this important campaign along with so many other hospices across the country.

At CHSW 1 in 4 of the babies, children and young people that we support are funded by local people choosing to leave a gift in their Will to CHSW.

A gift in your Will really can make a huge difference and become a lifeline for a local family.”
