Aslan has his roar back!
Our families are set for an even more exciting journey through our Chronicles of Narnia Sensory Garden at Little Bridge House, thanks to the installation of brand new sound effects.
They include enhanced sounds such as boots walking through snow, thunder and lightning, the bells of the Snow Queen’s sleigh and the roar of Aslan the Lion.
The work has been made possible thanks to funding from Tesco’s Bags of Help grant scheme, which comes from the sale of carrier bags in its stores, and Groundwork UK. Thank you to everyone who voted in their local store!
The work was completed by sound artist Peter Appleton, who worked on the original effects, when our Narnia garden opened 13 years ago!
As Tracy Freame, Head of Care at Little Bridge House, explains:
Our Narnia sensory garden is an integral part of Little Bridge House and the children and families love to spend time in it and return to it year after year. It has been open now for some 13 years and having these new and improved sound effects will take the experience to a whole new level. Families are using our service, on average, for seven to eight years, so they know Narnia very well. Having these wonderful new sound effects in place will reinvigorate their whole experience of it.
