Santas on the Run is a fun 2k run, walk, or jog at either the Eden Project in Cornwall and Charlton Farm in North Somerset. We don't provide Santa suits but you can decide if you want to twinkle in tinsel, rock it like Rudolph or sleigh it like Santa - dress up in your festive gear and complete a challenge of your choice all while raising seasonal smiles for children and families that are supported by our 3 hospices.
Yes please!
For the Eden Project and North Somerset events, we ask you register yourself and the members of your group so you'll receive all the support and information you need. We will not be accepting on the day registrations. Please sign up for the location and wave time you would like to attend.
Your registration fee covers the cost of putting on the event, a festive treat and medal. Your entry fee for our Eden Santa runs also gives you a full festive day out at the venue for the rest of the day you do not need to pay any additional entry charges!
As we do not provide Santa suits, we have reduced the registration fee from previous years.
As this is a sponsored event, we ask that you try to raise sponsorship to support the vital care Children’s Hospice South West provides. The suggested sponsorship is £25 per person or £70 as a family.
Our Santa on the Run event is open to all ages. Children aged 2 years and under are free to take part. Children under 16 years must be accompanied by a participating adult.
If you're taking part with colleagues from your workplace, please sign up using the online registration form and include your company name within the group. You will need to sign up each member of your work colleagues individually for health and safety reasons if taking part in one of our physical events.
Your registration fee only covers the cost of the event and your sponsorship is supporting our vital care for the children and families that attend our hospices. Sponsorship targets are £25 per person and £70 per family
Alternatively, you can make a donation of the suggested sponsorship of £25. Please make your donation via our online donation page marking it as your Santas on the Run donation.
We no longer provide Santa suits as a part of the registration fee to reduce the impact of single-use Santa suits on the environment, with many suits ending up in landfill each year. We have reduced the entry fee to reflect this change.
We also want to give our participants the opportunity to choose whether they want to dress as Santa, a reindeer, penguin, snowman, Christmas tree, or elf....this year you can decide! There will be on the day competitions for the best dressed!
The following wave times are available for each of our Santa Runs :
You'll need to arrive at least one hour before your start time to sign in, hand in your sponsorship, and enjoy the event village and warm up!
If we have space on an alternative wave time, we'll be able to accommodate your request.
Please call the following numbers by the 1 December to make a change:
This isn't a race and is more about having fun than setting a personal best. Take your time and enjoy the surprises we have planned along the route. But if you must, you can time your run with your own device. There are no prizes for finishing first at this run!
Yes of course! If you are in any doubt as to whether the route will be suitable, please do get in touch. A named carer can also assist a disabled entrant for free, please call your local fundraising office to register their details.
The route is fully accessible for wheelchairs and pushchairs, although there are slight inclines on the route, and two or three small speedbumps.
Dogs are allowed into the Eden Project but are not permitted to take part in the event and will need to remain with family or friends who are spectating during the race. They cannot come into the event village which is situated inside of The Gallery.
Yes! We welcome dogs at this event (just make sure to clean up after them)
Only those people who have paid to enter will be able to access the event village and take part in the event. We won't be accepting on the day sign ups this year due to limiting capacity for each wave time. This is also to ensure we can carefully manage everyone’s safety. Why not encourage them to sign up and take part!
The British weather is notoriously unpredictable so keep an eye on the forecast and bring waterproofs. If the weather is deemed too dangerous for the event to go ahead, we'll contact you via phone and email, and will update our Santas Facebook event pages to communicate with you.

Santas on the Run, The Eden Project
No. You can choose to walk, jog or run!
There is limited parking available at Berties Nursery and at the Downs School who are kindly allowing us use of their car park, and we will also provide a free return shuttle service from Noah’s Ark Zoo Farm, who are kindly allowing us use of their car park. We will be allocating your parking and will be in touch to discuss this with you, and will communicate where you will need to park in your fundraising pack. If you have any accessibility needs then please let us know of this as soon as possible so that we can allocate you to the closest car park.
If parking at Berties please allow yourself time to walk down the drive (allow fifteen minutes for this if there are younger children in your group).
There is parking in the main car park so please leave enough time to walk down to The Gallery ahead of your wave time. Please car share where possible to reduce congestion and allow enough time to get from the car park to the event village in the venue.
Please read our Santas on the Run participant safety brief to ensure you are fit to take part in this event.
We will be sending out your runner number, fundraising pack, sponsor form and coin collection card from mid October onwards. You are welcome to download any of these fundraising tools prior to this by visiting the 'how to fundraise' tab on the Santas on the Run Eden webpage.
We'll be sending your fundraising pack and runner number out in the post at the beginning of November. Your fundraising pack will also be available to download, and includes a sponsor form, coin collection card and gingerbread house collection box. You can download this by visiting the 'how to fundraise' tab on the Santas on the Run North Somerset webpage.
Unfortunately, some emails can end up in your junk box - please check this first.
If you still have not received either your confirmation email or welcome information email, please contact our event fundraisers:
If you sign up over the weekend, please note you won't receive your welcome information email until the Monday morning.
After signing up you will be sent a confirmation email with details of all your registrants. At a later date, if you’ve registered for the Charlton Farm or Eden Project event, you’ll receive your fundraising pack in the post. This will contain your runner number and all the information you will need for the event.
We also like to keep in touch via email and phone fundraising hints and tips and occasionally any last-minute information changes such as route changes. Please provide a valid email address when signing up.
Of course!
Please call the following numbers to get you up and running:
Unfortunately, there are no facilities, and we cannot accept liability for anything you leave behind. Please bring only what you need.
You will receive a medal at the finish line.
Unfortunately, if the back marshal has already departed you will be unable to take part in the run for health and safety reasons. So please ensure you arrive in plenty of time to register and attend the warm up and safety briefing.
If there is space at a following wave time at the Eden Project, we may potentially be able to move your space onto the next wave.
Please bring with you your coin collection and gingerbread coin collection houses on the day to hand in at registration. Please make sure you write your names on these so that we know who the money has come from, and we can allocate it to your fundraising total.
We recommend you don't send in cash through the post. Please remove your coins from your coin collection and then donate for them on our online donation page along with any other sponsorship you've collected.
You can send your sponsor forms and coin collection card along with a cheque to one of our three hospices:
You can also add any offline sponsorship to your online Just Giving page that you may have set up. You can bank the money you have collected and then make a payment on your own donation page. All money raised on an online giving page automatically is sent through to us - you don’t have to do a thing!
Please refer to our T&Cs regarding refunds.
No problem. Please contact your event fundraiser.
