This event is aimed at runners of all speeds and levels, so we don’t want to encourage this to be a walking event. The marathon route needs be completed by the cut off time of 7 hours, the half marathon cut off is 6 hours. If during the race, you foresee a problem and believe you will not too able to complete in time, you will need to tell the nearest marshal who will assist you.
Unfortunately, the route is not wheelchair accessible.

For those changing from the half marathon to the full, there will be an admin fee of £5, payment to be made over the phone.
We cannot accept any transfers after Wednesday 24 September.

Yes, for the full marathon the cut off time is 7 hours, and the cut off time for half marathon is 6 hours.

Yes, the RUN Barnstaple races have a Certificate of Course Accuracy and the race holds an ARC event licence. The certification is recognised by UKA (United Kingdom Athletics) and is therefore eligible for good for age for the London Marathon.

We are selling CHSW running vests for £9, please purchase these at the point of registration.
Ticket sales for all RUN Barnstaple events close on Wedneday 24 September at 5pm. There will be no on the day ticket sales.
Yes, your registration fee goes towards the costs for putting on the event.

Registrations close on 24 September 2025 at 5pm and there are no on-the-day registrations. Race distance changes or deferrals to 2026 MUST also be received by then.
The marathon starts at 9am, the half marathon starts at 10am, the 10k is at 11am and final mile at 1pm.
We prefer you not to wear headphones, this is for your safety and for other people using the route. If you choose to wear headphones, please do not wear them on any of the road sections of the races.
