Walk and fundraise in memory of your loved one 

By taking part in Moonlight Memory Walk and fundraising in memory of your loved one, you’ll be raising vital funds for families like Louis':

Louis was born with a rare genetic condition which meant just days after being born he was introduced to Charlton Farm. Tragically, Louis died when he was just 12 days old.

Staying at the hospice we were able to have those special moments where we just held him, told him we loved him and were able to stay close to him. The amazing support of the staff allowed us to try and process what had happened. Charlton Farm provided us with a safe space. A haven to grieve.

• £50 could contribute towards a supported hydrotherapy session helping to relax sore and tired bodies and muscles 
• £70 could pay for an hour of care for a family at one of our 3 hospices 
• £120 could pay for a day of specialised sibling support for a bereaved brother or sister

When you sign up, you’ll receive a welcome pack that has everything you need to know about fundraising, a “walking in memory of...” back sign, a candle bag to decorate, and walker number. Our Fundraising Team will also give you a call and be on hand to help with ideas to boost your fundraising. 

It’s the easiest way to get sponsored. Let everyone know why you’re taking part and update your page with photos and videos. Share your page on social media, WhatsApp and by email so your family and friends can sponsor you.

A special added feature of this event is our dedication page where you can add your loved one's name, photo and a personal message. 

You're welcome to set up more than one dedication for different loved ones and their names will appear on this dedication page for you, your friends and family members to visit, and there is the added option to make a donation in their memory when you set this up.

If you do not wish to join us at Moonlight Memory Walk Clevedon, you are still welcome to add a dedication for your loved one and make a donation. 

On the evening

• 6.45pm - Event village opens
• 7.00pm to 7.25pm - Welcome, safety briefing, followed by a Memory Ceremony with our Charlton Farm mum Claire talking, and music from Bob Irwin.
• 7.30pm – Start of walk  
• 9.30pm - Approx finish time

Venue 

Salthouse Fields, Salthouse Rd, Clevedon BS21 7TR 

 The evening begins at 6:45pm when we invite you to join us at Salthouse Fields to register and collect your T-shirt, and tealight to add to your candle bag. We recommend taking the candle bags with you on the route, to help light your way and to create a shining trail of lights reflecting the loved ones no longer with us.  

After a short safety briefing, we will begin the 5K Moonlight Memory Walk. 

Please note that only those registered for the event will be able to take part in the event. Please note, dogs are not permitted to attend this year. 

Don’t forget to bring with you a torch or headtorch, a bottle of water, comfortable shoes, a warm coat, and don’t forget your bright clothing and glow in the dark, light up accessories, if you wish to wear these!  

There will be music in the event village on Clevedon Pier in the evening, and Neads a Coffee Hut will remain open on the evening for purchasing refreshments.

Can you volunteer at Moonlight Memory Walk?

The Moonlight Memory Walk Clevedon team needs volunteers to help on the evening.  

We have the following roles that we need help with:  

• Participant registration volunteer in the Event Village
• T-shirt collection in the Event Village
• Route marshal
• Back-marking of route
