Ocean Housing Group Sponsor Santas on the Run
St Austell based Ocean Housing Group has generously offered sponsorship once again to Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) for the charity’s upcoming Santas on the Run event.
The 2km sponsored fun run is happening at the Eden Project on 3 December and is a fun event to take part in with colleagues, friends or family of all ages, helping to get everyone into the festive spirit.
Sponsorship from the Ocean Housing Group helps towards covering the costs of the event meaning that even more of the money raised in sponsorship by those taking part can go straight to Little Harbour children’s hospice which provides care and support to local children with life limiting and life threatening illnesses and their families.
Mark Gardner, Ocean Housing Group’s Chief Executive said:
“We are delighted to offer our support again this year to an outstanding local charity, which delivers amazing care, support and services to children and their families in Cornwall and across the South West.”
There will be two runs happening on the day, one at 11.00am and 3.00pm. Santas of any age can take part and can run, jog or walk the route and everyone taking part will be given a free Santa suit to wear as well as a medal and festive treat.
Claire Frost, Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser for CHSW said “We are really grateful to the Ocean Housing Group for their sponsorship of Santas on the Run. Having this financial contribution means that more of the money raised by those taking part can go straight to the hospice and benefit the local children and families that we are supporting. We would love to make this our biggest Santas on the Run the Eden Project has seen. We hope to see you all there joining the team from the Ocean Housing Group in making this event a great start to the festive season.”
CHSW has three children’s hospices across the south west including Little Harbour at Porthpean in St Austell which is currently supporting over 100 children and families from across Cornwall and Plymouth. The hospice offers children and their families short breaks, respite, palliative care as well as end of life care and bereavement support when needed.
Tickets are just £15 for adults, £7.50 for children, £37.50 for a family and £135 for a group of 10.
