After cutting his hair short in December 2020 Ben set himself the challenge to grow his hair into a mullet in the hope that it would bring a smile to people’s faces as well as raise funds for Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW) and My Name’5 Doddie Foundation.

Ben initially set himself a fundraising target of £250, telling his supporters that if this was reached he would keep his new hairstyle until he went for his covid

Slapstick reunites the Tiswas team for a 40th anniversary charity bash

25 January 2022 Robin Askew Events, Fundraising

In the wasteland that was Saturday morning kids’ TV during the mid-1970s, the BBC reigned supreme with its typically boring, Blue Peter-style, public service-oriented Multi-Coloured Swap Shop, in which Noel Edmonds invited the nation’s nippers to phone in and, you know, swap stuff.

Hampered by a much smaller budget, the producers rightly judged that the way to win over the smaller audience was by chucking custard pies, dousing people in water and unleashing large quantities of ‘gunge’

Eight years on and John is now a fully-fledged woodturner, who even built his own workshop that he works in, and a member of the Guild of Rocking Horse Makers. John has made 7 horses in total, 5 of which have stayed in the family and
