Spreading tasty Christmas cheer while supporting the local community
As plans start to ramp up for the festive season thoughts quickly turn to presents. However a new partnership recently announced, between Taste of the West and Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW), hopes to be able to solve gifting conundrums for friends and family in just a few clicks.
A range of artisan charity Christmas hampers, stocked full of award-winning, local produce is on sale now. For each hamper sold, 10% will be donated to local children’s charity CHSW.
Taste of the West have worked closely with hamper stockists Devon Hampers, to bring together food and drink selections from more than 25 of the finest Taste of the West producers in the region to feature in this unique collection of 4 festive hampers.
The hampers range from £50 to £125 and are named after CHSW’s 3 children’s hospices and the epitome of luxury hampers known as the “Festive Feast”. They are stocked full of award-winning sweet and savoury treats including cheeses, biscuits, olives, charcuterie, chocolates as well as a variety of drink options. All of which can be delivered direct to the doorsteps of those lucky recipients you want to treat this Christmas.
Hayley Wallbank, Regional Partnerships Fundraiser for CHSW said;
“We are thrilled to be launching our 4 Children’s Hospice South West Christmas hampers for this festive season. They are not only a feast for the eyes and the taste buds, but even better every hamper purchased will be helping to support local children and families supported by our hospices.
In addition, this is a wonderful opportunity to promote Taste of The West and showcase more than 20 wonderful, local food and drink producers who are not only creating some incredible products right on our doorstep, but who were also extremely keen to support this initiative to help local families.”
John Sheaves, CEO of Taste of the West said;
“If you’re looking to buy a quality hamper for someone special, our charity Christmas hampers offer something truly unique – every hamper is filled to the brim with award-winning food and drink made in the South West, and 10% of each one sold will be donated to Children’s Hospice South West.
