Marco Pierre White visits Charlton Farm
Internationally renowned chef, restaurateur and television personality, Marco Pierre White, recently visited CHSW's Charlton Farm hospice to look around the facilities and chat with staff and families.
It was Marco’s second visit to the children’s hospice since it opened in 2007. Also with him was Nick Taplin, Marco's friend and business partner, Chairman and CEO of Black and White Hospitality.
Some of the key team from Black and White Hospitality recently established The Black and White Foundation, which has been set up to support good causes local to the Marco Pierre White sites around the UK. Nick, who is one of the owners of DoubleTree at Cadbury House in Congresbury, was delighted to present CHSW Corporate Fundraiser, Amanda Gallagher, with a cheque for £1,000 from the Foundation.
Amanda said: “We are thrilled to be the first recipients of the Foundation’s donation. We hold strong links with DoubleTree Cadbury House in Congresbury and we are its chosen charity partner. The staff have also been incredible and taken part in a variety of fundraising events for us, including the £50 Challenge and a Firewalk!”
