Baby Rupert Will Lead Santas on the Run at Eden
Rupert Connor-Latus will be just 9 weeks old on Sunday 9th December when he will be Santa number 1 at Children’s Hospice South West’s (CHSW) Santas on the Run event at the Eden Project.
Santas on the Run is a 2km sponsored festive fun run which Rupert’s mum Sammy was keen to get him signed up for before he was even born along with siblings Flynn, Robyn and Evelyn.
Sammy said “We have taken part in Santas on the Run for the last few years and it is always a great way to start the festive season and for such a great cause. This year it is going to be so magical to take part with Rupert too - the most recent addition to our family!”
This is the fourth year that Santas on the Run has been held at this iconic venue attracting hundreds of people to take part from across Cornwall as well as further afield and marks the start of the festive season for many families.
Santas of any age can take part and can run, jog or walk the route with Rupert, Sammy and hundreds of others. Prices are £15 for adults and £7.50 for children, under 3’s can take part for free and you can choose to take part at 11am or 2pm.
Everyone taking part will be given a free Santa suit to wear as well as a medal, festive treat and free access to Eden for the day.
Money raised in sponsorship by those taking part in Santas on the Run will go towards the care and support offered to local children and families at Little Harbour children’s hospice in St Austell. Little Harbour is currently supporting over 130 children and families, providing them with short breaks and respite allowing whole families the chance to have a break in a home from home environment where they can make special memories together to treasure into the future.
